Picnic at the beach! - 4pm Saturday, July 3

Questions? Call 206.484.6063

Weddings always blow by so fast. So, our parents are hosting a picnic the day before. That way, we have more time to enjoy our guests' company and celebrate. What great parents we have, eh??

The picnic will be at Shelter#3 on the beach at Lincoln Park in West Seattle at 4pm PST.

We're planning to have an *optional* pot luck. If you are able to bring something, please email Heather's mom, Sarah, to make the arrangments: shodge7949@gmail.com

There will be plenty of food. If you are coming in from out of town or simply don't want to, please don't worry about bringing something!

Lincoln Park is located at 8011 Fauntleroy Way SW, Seattle, WA 98136 (map). There is plenty of parking in both parking lots and on the street. The larger parking lot is along Fauntleroy and requires a 10 minute walk through the woods and down the steps to the waterfront. The smaller parking lot is closer to the waterfront, and it is an easy, 5 minute walk to the pavilion.

  • It's the 4th of July and Harbor Ave will be busy. Arrive early and carpool if possible to get a parking spot. Be prepared to walk if you can't find a close spot.

  • Space on the boat is limited to availability and open to the public. Arrive early to get your place in line!

  • There will be a lot of standing and waiting.

  • You may not be able to see or hear the ceremony well... or at all due to noisy boat engines and space availability.

  • More details...

... Absolutely no hard feelings if you decide to skip out and just meet us at the reception at 5pm!

Extra details: Ceremony on the Water Taxi

Our wedding will be aboard the King County Water Taxi as it makes the crossing between Seattle and West Seattle. Heather and Josh both love the water and also love the views of the city, so they will be exchanging their vows during the 10 minute crossing of Elliot Bay.

Join the groom on the West Seattle Side for the voyage over to Seattle to pick up the beautiful bride. Reverend Nick Egan will conduct the wedding ceremony during the 10 minute voyage back to West Seattle.

There is a free parking lot and limited street parking available at Seacrest Dock located at 1600 Harbor Ave SW (map) in West Seattle.

Since the nearby Alki Beach is a popular summer spot in Seattle, we recommend arriving at the dock an hour early to get a chance to see the beautiful beach, grab a cool drink at the tackle shop near the dock, and also to beat the summer beach traffic.

Extra details: Reception at the Duwamish Longhouse(map).

We will have ice cream and games available outside starting at 5:00pm. There are also beautiful parks across the street to enjoy.

The longhouse doors will open at 6:00pm and buffet dinner will be ready around 6:30 or 7:00pm. We're having BBQ, so no need to dress all fancy unless you really want to! We'll also have music, dancing, and maybe even a game of flip cup...moms get ready! For those of you helping setup, the room will "officially" be available at 4:00pm.
